Venue
SCAPE 2026 will be hosted at Backagården, a conference venue located in Höör municipality, southern Sweden, in the heart of the Skåne region. Surrounded by forests and natural landscapes, the venue provides an ideal setting for scientific discussions, networking, and informal exchange among participants.
The most convenient international arrival point is Copenhagen Airport (CPH), which provides extensive international connections. From the airport, Höör can be reached by train in approximately 1–1.5 hours, with regular departures throughout the day. To facilitate arrival logistics, SCAPE will provide shuttle transportation between Höör railway station and Backagården on the afternoon of the arrival day. Further practical information will be distributed closer to the conference.
Field Excursion and Outdoor Activities
The programme will include opportunities to experience the local environment. Participants can look forward to a guided walk and outdoor activities in the forests surrounding the conference venue, providing a chance to enjoy the autumn landscapes of Skåne while continuing scientific discussions in a less formal setting.
As the meeting takes place in late October, participants should be prepared for variable weather conditions. Temperatures are typically cool, and rain is common at this time of year. We therefore recommend bringing appropriate outdoor clothing and waterproof footwear.
Registration Fees and Accommodation
Accommodation and meals will be provided on-site at Backagården throughout the meeting. To foster the collegial and interactive atmosphere that characterizes SCAPE meetings, most participants will be accommodated in shared rooms.
A limited number of single rooms are available. These will primarily be reserved for senior participants and individuals with specific accommodation needs. Requests for single-room accommodation can be indicated during registration and will be considered subject to availability.
Participants staying in shared rooms will have the opportunity to indicate preferred roommates in the registration form.
Conference Fees
The conference fee includes registration, accommodation, all meals, coffee breaks, and participation in the complete scientific and social programme throughout the meeting.
Single Room Accommodation
A limited number of single rooms are available and are primarily reserved for senior participants and attendees with specific accommodation needs.
