Registration and Conference Contributions 2026

Registration

Registration for SCAPE 2026 is now open. Participants can register and submit their abstract through a single online form. To be included in the scientific programme, please complete your registration and abstract submission by 31 August 2026.

Conference Contributions

We warmly encourage all participants to contribute to the scientific programme by presenting their work.

Participants may choose between three presentation formats:

  • Flash talk
  • Regular oral presentation
  • Poster presentation

Abstracts should be submitted as part of the registration process using the online registration form.

Scientific Symposia

SCAPE 2026 will feature a series of thematic symposia designed to structure the oral programme and ensure that contributed talks are organized into coherent scientific sessions.

During registration and abstract submission, participants will be asked to select the symposium that best matches their contribution. This selection will be used to allocate presentations to appropriate sessions and to build a balanced and engaging scientific programme.

Participants may choose from the following symposia:

  • SCAPE Anniversary Symposium 🎉

Celebrating 40 years of SCAPE and highlighting landmark contributions and future perspectives in pollination ecology

  • Floral Form and Function 🌸🌼

Integrative studies of floral morphology, traits, and their functional significance in pollination

  • Pollination in Agriculture and Agricultural Landscapes 🌾🚜

Research on pollination services, crop production, and ecological processes in managed ecosystems

  • Ecology and Evolution of Co-flowering Species and Interactions 🌺🐝

Community-level interactions among co-flowering plants and their pollinators

  • Pollination in Arctic and Alpine Environments 🏔️❄️

Dynamics of plant–pollinator interactions in cold and high-altitude systems

  • Floral Evolution along the Specialization–Generalization Continuum 🌸🔄

Evolutionary patterns shaping the degree of specialization in plant–pollinator interactions

  • Conservation Biology of Pollinators and Pollination 🐝🌱

Biodiversity conservation, threats to pollinators, and strategies to maintain pollination services

  • Open Symposium 💬🌐

Contributions that fall outside the thematic symposia or span multiple areas of pollination ecology

Important Deadline

To be included in the scientific programme, both registration and abstract submission must be completed by 31 August 2026.

We encourage participants to register early and submit their abstract well ahead of the deadline. Abstracts received after this date may not be considered for inclusion in the programme.

Session Chairs

As in previous years, SCAPE relies on active participation from its community to facilitate scientific discussion. We therefore encourage participants, particularly senior researchers, to volunteer as session chairs. An option to indicate your interest in chairing a session will be available in the registration form.

Presentation Guidelines

Detailed information regarding presentation formats, poster dimensions, and the duration of oral and flash talks will be communicated to presenters shortly after the abstract submission deadline. This information will be distributed once the scientific programme has been finalized.
